Der 268 Meilen (431 km) lange Pennine Way ist der älteste und wohl auch der ikonischste der National Trails Englands. Er beginnt im Peak District und zieht sich nach Norden bis zu den schottischen Grenzgebieten. Es ist einer der herausforderndsten, aber auch lohnenswertesten Fernwanderwege und ist reich an Geschichte.
