Man kann sich vorstellen, dass Gesteine dieses Alters bereits vieles erlebt haben. Und das ist auch hier der Fall. Sie wurden erhitzt, zusammengedrückt, komprimiert,... Solch ein Gestein nennt man in der Geologie Gneis (eine Art metamorphes Gestein), das unter hohem Druck und hoher Temperatur gebildet wurde. Und das findet man hier ebenfalls.
