Arco ist eine Stadt mit 17.927 Einwohnern zirka fünf Kilometer nördlich des Gardasees am Unterlauf des Flusses Sarca. Arco liegt in der Provinz Trient. Zusammen mit der Nachbargemeinde Riva del Garda bildet Arco ein zusammenhängendes Siedlungsgebiet von mehr als 30.000 Einwohnern.
Durch seine geschützte Lage umgeben von Bergen und die Nähe zum Gardasee herrscht in Arco ein Mikroklima, das z. B. das Wachstum von Palmen begünstigt. Die Stadt gilt als Luftkurort .
