Sabbioneta ist eine italienische Renaissancestadt mit 4124 Einwohnern in der Poebene zwischen Parma und Mantua in der Lombardei. Die für die Größe der Stadt beeindruckende, komplett restaurierte Stadtmauer ist in Form eines unregelmäßigen Sechsecks mit sternförmig vorspringenden Bastionen angelegt. Zwei Stadttore erschließen die Stadt: Die Porta Vittoria und die Porta Imperiale . Zwei zusätzliche Zufahrtsstraßen wurden um 1900 angelegt.
