Maasbommel ist eine Stadt in der niederländischen Provinz Gelderland. Sie ist ein Teil der Gemeinde West Maas en Waal und liegt etwa 7 km nördlich von Oss. Es erhielt 1312 Stadtrechte. Es wurde erstmals 1144 als de Bumele erwähnt und bedeutet wahrscheinlich "Wald der Bäume in der Nähe der Maas", um es von Zaltbommel zu unterscheiden. Maasbommel wurde entlang des Flusses gegründet. 1312 erhielt Maasbommel Stadtrechte und trat der Hanseatischen Liga bei. Obwohl ihm Stadtrechte gewährt wurden, entwickelte es sich nach dem Mittelalter nicht weiter. Im 13. Jahrhundert wurde eine Kirche erbaut, die 1812 abgerissen wurde. 1672 wurden die Stadt und der Hof bij Maasbommel von französischen Truppen schwer beschädigt und zerstört.
