Noordscheschut ist ein Dorf in der niederländischen Provinz Drenthe, Gemeinde Hoogeveen. Es hat 2.085 Einwohner. Noordscheschut ist ein Entsiedlungsdorf unmittelbar östlich von Hoogeveen. Das Dorf wird von der Verlengde Hoogeveense Vaart durchschnitten und ist nach einem 1766 erbauten Schutztor zwischen dem "Noordsche Opgaande" und der Hoogeveensche Vaart benannt. Ursprünglich bestand es aus Streifenbebauung entlang des Kanals, aber nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg sind auch einige Neubaugebiete südlich des Kanals entstanden, sodass das Dorf jetzt einen eigenen Kern hat.
