Sint Joost ist ein Kirchdorf in Mittellimburg mit 1.440 Einwohnern. Bis 1989 wurde es zwischen der Gemeinde Maasbracht und der Gemeinde Echt aufgeteilt. Danach fiel es vollständig an die Gemeinde Echt. Es ist eines der Kirchdörfer rund um Echt und gehört jetzt zur Gemeinde Echt-Susteren. Sint Joost ist nach dem heiligen Judocus benannt. Das Dorf entstand um 1300, als ein Caulitenkloster gegründet wurde, dessen heutiger Klosterhof ein Überrest ist. Im 17. Jahrhundert gab es eine Wassermühle zwischen Montfort und St. Joost an der Vlootbeek, die jedoch nicht länger als ein Jahrhundert bestand.
