Makkinga ist ein Dorf in der Gemeinde Ooststellingwerf, in der niederländischen Provinz Friesland. Makkinga war bis 1886 der Hauptort der Gemeinde Ooststellingwerf. Danach wurde das Nachbardorf Oosterwolde zum Hauptort. Makkinga ist eines der wenigen Dörfer in den Niederlanden, in denen keine Verkehrsschilder mehr stehen.
