Beetsterzwaag ist ein Dorf in der Gemeinde Opsterland im Osten von Friesland in den Niederlanden. Es hatte im Januar 2017 eine Bevölkerung von etwa 3.485. Beetsterzwaag ist bekannt für seine Anwesen und Herrenhäuser. Das Dorf wurde erstmals 1315 als Suagh erwähnt und bedeutet "Weide mit Vieh, das zu Oud Beets gehört". Beetsterzwaag entwickelte sich auf einem sandigen Höhenzug von Oud Beets. Im Jahr 1684 enthielt das Dorf bereits vier Herrenhäuser und wurde im 19. Jahrhundert als "ein Kilometer edler Häuser, umgeben von Parks und Wäldern" beschrieben.
