Ende 2006 verkaufte die NS den Bahnhof Reuver an eine Privatperson. Während einer umfangreichen Renovierung wurde auf der Südseite eine Glas-Treppe gebaut und alte Details wurden erhalten oder restauriert. Mit dem passenden Namen "De Vertraging" erhielt der Bahnhof eine neue Funktion: eine Brasserie mit einem Besprechungsraum.
