Preston Palace ist ein ehemaliges Krankenhaus in Almelo, das in ein All-Inclusive-Resort mit Freizeitcenter umgebaut wurde. Der Name leitet sich von Almelo's Partnergemeinde Preston im Vereinigten Königreich ab. Das leerstehende und zur Abriss vorgesehenen Prinzessin Irene Krankenhaus wurde 1987 von der Gemeinde Almelo an Unternehmer Hennie van der Most verkauft. Im Mai 1990 wurde das Freizeitcenter eröffnet, das Hotel-Restaurant folgte 1992. 1997 wurde auch ein Schwimmbad mit Saunabereich und eine Halle voller Jahrmarktattraktionen eröffnet. Das Hotel verfügt über fast 1000 Betten. Das Unternehmen arbeitet nach dem All-Inclusive-Prinzip. Mit etwa 500 Mitarbeitern gehört das Unternehmen zu den größten Arbeitgebern in Twente.
