Der tiefste Punkt der Niederlande befindet sich auf einer Wiese in der Zuidplaspolder nordöstlich von Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel. Er liegt auf einer Höhe von 6,76 Metern unter dem Meeresspiegel. Am Rand dieser Wiese entlang der Autobahn A20 steht das Denkmal für den tiefsten Punkt der Niederlande. Der Fuß dieses Denkmals entspricht dem Niveau des tiefsten Punktes.
