Der Bahnhof Utrecht Vaartsche Rijn ist ein Zug- und Straßenbahnhof, der an den Eisenbahnlinien nach Arnheim und 's-Hertogenbosch liegt, an der Stelle, wo die Schienen die Vaartsche Rijn und die Westerkade kreuzen. Der Bahnhof ist Teil des Randstadspoor, das hochfrequente Zugverbindungen innerhalb der Region Utrecht umfasst. Der Bahnhof wurde zwischen November 2010 und Mitte 2015 gebaut. Am Montag, den 22. August 2016, hielten die ersten Züge am Bahnhof Utrecht Vaartsche Rijn. Das war vier Monate früher als geplant, wobei größere Verzögerungen, die zuvor bei diesem Projekt auftraten, nicht berücksichtigt werden. Die Straßenbahnen der Uithoflinie bedienen diesen Bahnhof seit dem 16. Dezember 2019.
