Der Botanische Garten Kerkrade ist einer der 27 offiziellen botanischen Gärten der Niederlande und der einzige in Limburg!
Die Kollektion ist reich und vielfältig und besteht überwiegend aus Pflanzen und Bäumen aus den gemäßigten Zonen. Die Sammlung von Bäumen kann ohne Zweifel als besonders bezeichnet werden.
Das kleine Gewächshaus beherbergt Trockenpflanzen aus Südafrika und Madagaskar. Die Madagaskar-Kollektion ist einzigartig in den Niederlanden.
Die Entstehungsgeschichte, die Bergbauvergangenheit, die Beiträge des Designers John Bergmans und der aktuelle Zustand des Gartens tragen zu einer hohen Wertschätzung durch die Besucher bei.
Der Garten ist für alle interessant, sei es für Laien, Liebhaber oder Fachleute.
