Oud-Charlois ist der historische Kern des Stadtteils Charlois in Rotterdam. Oud-Charlois wird im Osten durch die Dorpsweg, im Süden durch den Kromme Zandweg, im Westen durch das Gelände des Waalhaven-Ostseite und im Norden durch die Nieuwe Maas begrenzt.
Im Jahr 1460 gab Karl der Kühne den Auftrag, den Polder Rijerwaert einzudeichen. Als er am 14. April 1462 die Urkunde über die Übergabe des Polders Rijerwaert an vier Grundherren genehmigte, knüpfte er daran zwei Bedingungen, dass:
