Das Solsche Gat ist ein beliebtes Ziel für New-Age-Anhänger und Rutengänger, da sie hier Leilinien zu finden glauben. Eine Leilinie ist eine gerade Linie auf der Erdoberfläche, die durch mehrere Punkte von geografischer Bedeutung gezogen wird, wobei auf eine vermeintliche Verbindung zwischen diesen Punkten verwiesen wird. Dabei handelt es sich typischerweise um prähistorische Standorte, archäologische Fundstätten und alte Kirchen. Esoteriker glauben, dass Leilinien Energiebahnen sind. Der Name stammt von linearen Gruppierungen englischer Dörfer, die auf -leigh oder -ley enden. Ihr Bestehen wurde erstmals 1921 vom britischen Amateurarchäologen Alfred Watkins postuliert.
