Auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite des Zoomwegs liegt eine Wohnanlage, die Teil des Stadtteils Wageningen-Hoog ist. Dieses Grundstück gehörte ursprünglich auch zum Anwesen De Driest. Die Entwicklung dieses Stadtteils zeigt, wie zu Beginn des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts, als Folge der wachsenden Beliebtheit des Lebens im Grünen, nicht nur Anwesen, sondern auch neue Villengebiete entwickelt wurden. Auch die Freizeitgestaltung im Freien nahm zu. Davon zeugt der Freizeitpark die Wielerbaan, der sich zu Ihrer Rechten befindet. Die ursprüngliche Radrennbahn wurde 1933 angelegt, dient jetzt aber als Spiel- und Schwimmort im Park.
