Die Skulptur Thinker on a Rock, besser bekannt als "Der Hase", steht seit 2002 am Neude und wurde vom britischen Künstler Barry Flanagan geschaffen. Die Skulptur zeigt einen Hasen in derselben Pose wie Rodins berühmter Der Denker. Eine lustige Anekdote ist, dass dieser Hase regelmäßig von Utrechtern eingekleidet wird: Im Winter bekommt er einen Schal und manchmal einen Bund Karotten auf seinen Schoß.
