La sculpture Thinker on a Rock, mieux connue sous le nom de "Le Lièvre", est située sur la Neude depuis 2002 et a été créée par l'artiste britannique Barry Flanagan. La sculpture représente un lièvre dans la même pose que le célèbre "Le Penseur" de Rodin. Une anecdote amusante est que ce lièvre est régulièrement habillé par les habitants d'Utrecht : en hiver, il reçoit une écharpe et parfois un bouquet de carottes sur ses genoux.
