In der aus 12 Ortschaften und Weilern bestehenden Gesamtgemeinde leben 4311 Menschen. Der Hauptort Štore allein hat 1850 Einwohner und liegt wenige Kilometer entfernt östlich von Celje. Die Stadt ist vor allem wegen ihres Walzwerkes Želežarna Štore bekannt, das 1851 gegründet wurde.
