Hörbich

Hörbich is a municipality in Upper Austria in the district of Rohrbach in the upper Mühlviertel with 408 inhabitants. The responsible judicial district is Rohrbach in Upper Austria. Hörbich is located at an altitude of 570 m above sea level in the upper Mühlviertel. With regard to the nature conservation classification of the area, the municipality belongs entirely to the Central Mühlviertler Highlands. The extent measures 5.2 kilometers from north to south and 4 kilometers from west to east. The total area covers 11.22 square kilometers, making Hörbich the ninth smallest of the 42 municipalities in the district. The municipal area extends over an altitude ranging from around 425 to 630 meters and is 28.6 percent forested. A further 65.2 percent is used as agricultural land, while the remaining 6.6 percent of the municipal area consists of water bodies, gardens, construction areas, and other areas. Neighboring municipalities are Arnreit to the northeast, Altenfelden to the east, Lembach in the Mühlkreis to the southeast, Putzleinsdorf to the southwest, Atzesberg to the west, and Sarleinsbach to the north.
