The Hall in Tirol train station is a regional and long-distance station for passenger traffic as well as a freight and shunting station. The station is located at railway kilometer 66.6 of the Unterinntalbahn and is, among other things, a stop for the S-Bahn Tirol.
Until the opening of the Unterinntalbahn in 1858, Hall was the terminus of shipping on the Inn River and thus the most important goods transshipment point in North Tyrol. To not lose this status, the local authorities in Hall advocated from the very beginning for their own train station. For this purpose, the Upper Lend, which had been a port and a wood storage area for the saltworks, and a part of the Haller Au were utilized. The local railway Innsbruck–Hall in Tirol, which was built starting in 1888, operated as a tram to Solbad Hall and did not connect to the main railway.
