In December 2014, this bridge was the longest pedestrian bridge in the world. She is no less than 406 meters long. The Highline179 is of the type 'Tibetan Style. " This kind of bridges are widely used in the Himalayas. You will walk 114 meters above the bottom of the valley in Reutte in the north of Austria. It connects historically important defense structures of the ruin Ehrenberg and Fort Claudia. The pedestrian bridge is 1.2 meters wide and even in winter open from 08:00 to 22:00. The name comes from the highway 179 that runs under the bridge.
