Hanauer Hut

The Hanauer Hut is an Alpine Club hut of the Hanau section of the German Alpine Club in the Lechtal Alps in Austria. Built in 1897, the Hanauer Hut is located at an altitude of 1922 m above sea level at the end of the Angerle Valley above Boden near Bschlabs, in the Reutte district, Tyrol, Austria. Just one year after the founding of the Hanau section of the German and Austrian Alpine Clubs on December 14, 1893, the Extraordinary General Assembly decided on October 2, 1894, to build a hut on Parzinnbühl. Although the hut was already completed in 1896, the inauguration celebration could only take place on July 19, 1897. At that time, the hut was 6 × 6.5 m in size, had a men's sleeping room for 5–6 people, a women's dormitory for 3–4 people, as well as a hayloft in the roof area for mountain guides and local people.
