The HTBLA Jenbach is a Higher Technical Institute in Jenbach, Tyrol. This makes it, alongside the Chemistry HTL Kramsach, the only HTL in the Tyrolean lowlands and it accommodates nearly 500 students, taught by 60 teachers. In the mid-1960s, there were already initial thoughts about planning a higher school in Jenbach. Originally, a Musically-Pedagogical Gymnasium was to be established. However, in 1968, due to the industrial and economic conditions at the site and in collaboration with the Tyrolean State School Board and the municipality of Jenbach, the decision was made to establish a Higher Technical Institute. The decision was supported by the Jenbach works, which provided their own workshop in the first years. In the same year, the land was also purchased from the municipality of Wiesing and incorporated into the municipality of Jenbach in 1976.
