The Katelijnepoort was a city gate in Bruges. The gate was located at the end of Katelijnestraat. The name of the gate is still used for the place where it used to be. There is still a drawbridge over the Ringvaart at the Katelijnepoort, the Katelijnepoortbrug.
The Katelijnepoort was the place where one left Bruges towards Kortrijk. It was one of the gates that was part of the second city wall, completed in 1297. The gate used to lead to the Sint-Catharinaparochie, whose church was located outside the city walls. However, that church was demolished in 1578.
