Small Seminary

For groups, the Klein Seminarie opens its doors; a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the valuable heritage of a rich past. The Klein Seminarie held a surprisingly influential position in the establishment of the Belgian constitution, the Flemish emancipation, and the early Christian workers' movement. In this college, Guido Gezelle and Hugo Verriest were student and teacher. Albrecht Rodenbach and Constant Lievens were classmates. Explore the oldest parts of the college and inhale the atmosphere of long-gone times in the church, the Augustinian lounge, the small chambers, and the colonnade. The tour gives you an exciting look at the extensive archival material and the unique art collection of the school.
