What is a simple elevation for everyone in a quiet village is known by the Lokernaars (inhabitants of the village of Loker) as DOP or Village Reception Point. This small elevation is located at the foot of the Sint-Petrus Church, right next to the playground and our community center De Galoye. This is where all sports activities start during festive occasions. Throughout the year, there is not much happening here, but the first weekend of July is the fair, and then you might catch a family bike ride, guided walk, or other sports activity.
You will also find information boards about the history of the village. Additionally, there are boards with maps to plan your discovery tours throughout the Heuvelland.
