The museum is located in the protected home of painter Edgard Gevaert. His wife Marie opened the studio after his death: people could go and see work by her husband and her father, sculptor George Minne. After her death, the municipality of Sint-Martens-Latem bought the house and set up the Gevaert-Minne museum. You will also find work by other Latem artists.
Gevaert built his remarkable house himself in the 1920s: you can see Gothic elements and features of the then popular cottage style.
Entrance via the Edgard Gevaertdreef.
