The Diestsestraat is a shopping street in the center of Leuven. The street runs parallel to the Bondgenotenlaan and together they currently form the city's main shopping center. Since August 25, 2007, the street has been completely car-free. The Miniemen Institute, a location with a long history, is located here. The city library Tweebronnen is located on the Diestsestraat.
