Hastière-par-delà is a village in the municipality of Hastière, Belgium.Hastière-par-delà is located in the province of Namur and was an independent municipality until 1 January 1977. The place dates back to the foundation of St. Peter's Abbey by Irish Benedictines with the support of Count Palatine Wigerik. A charter of Charles the Simple from around 911-915 confirmed Wigeric and his son Adalbero in their possession. Around 986, the community was linked to the nearby Waulsort Abbey. The Romanesque abbey church was built in 1033 and was given a Gothic choir in 1260-1264. The abbey was set on fire by iconoclasts in 1568 and destroyed by French revolutionaries in 1793, but the church building was preserved and restored in the 19th century.
