Malderen is a village in the municipality of Londerzeel, in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. Malderen was an independent municipality until the municipal reorganization of 1977.De first mention of Malderen is from 1125, under the name 'Mahl'. Another mention is from 1312, when mention was made of the 'Hof van Marselaer', a seigneurial estate including a water mill, called the 'Quaden Mill', while in 1322 a chapel was founded: in 1349 there was already mention of a church.
