On the steep slopes of the Bosberg lies the Raspaille forest. Spring streams have sculpted a mosaic of sharp ridges, valleys and subsidence. Because of its exceptional ecological and cultural value, this forest was protected as a landscape. In spring you can enjoy the color splendor of bluebells, forest anemones, wild garlic and primroses. The spring streams are the habitat of the rare fire salamander. In the clearings, the small kingfisher butterfly flutters from flower to flower and those who get up early can admire deer along the forest edges. At the top of the Bosberg you can enjoy beautiful views over the Dender and Mark valleys. A wide panorama with dozens of church towers extends to the towers of Brussels.
