Groot-Loon is a village in the Belgian province of Limburg and a part of the municipality of Borgloon. The village is located in the Haspengouw region, has an area of 0.55 km², and had 145 inhabitants in 2006.
Originally, this village was called Niel-Sint-Servaas, where it was referred to as Nyel Sancti Servatii. Gradually, the name Groot-Loon became popular, first mentioned in 1365 as Groet-loen.
