The (large) barn bears the year 1857 by means of protruding bricks. But the farm is much older. There was already a farm here in the 13th century. This large square farm is mainly used for cattle breeding. A large number of farm products are made with our own milk, which can therefore be consumed on site in the good season.
Back to 1857. In the year that this façade was built, 50 km to the west, in Ghent, the first trade union in Belgium was founded. It was the Fraternal Society of Weavers.
