Cited since 1356, it was built on the site of a leper colony (hospital for lepers), which is why it is located away from the village. Also called Notre-Dame du Culot, it has become a highly visited pilgrimage site to the Virgin, built at the crossroads of important paths, including the former royal road that also passed by the Saint-Corneille chapel. The current sanctuary, built of squared Gobertange stone, is dated 1768 above the entrance. The chapel has been classified since 1994.
From the chapel, there is a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside, slightly hilly and dotted with square farms.

The building, also known as Notre-Dame du Culot, has become a popular pilgrimage site, located at the crossroads of important roads, one of which used to be the royal road and also runs past the Saint-Cornelius chapel.
