Vesder dam

Just a few kilometers outside the city center of Eupen stands a gigantic concrete wall: the Vesder Dam. The reservoir, formed by the merging of the Vesder and the Getzbach, provides Eupen, the Land of Herve, the Liège region, and the Sart Tilman area with drinking water. The Vesder Dam, the forest learning path, and the highest climbing wall in the Euregio are tourist attractions!
On a hill, directly along the shores of the Vesder reservoir, the tourist center offers a magnificent view of the artificial lake and the surrounding forest landscape.
The tourist center is an ideal place for excursions for both families with children and for adventurers and those seeking relaxation and closeness to nature. Cyclists and hikers exploring the bike and footpaths in the riverbank area are also welcome. Young visitors have access to a large playground.
