Stone Mountain Mill

Mills were once the cradle of all technology. So many centuries later, they are still a fine example of technical ingenuity. The stone mountain mill in Rijkevorsel, one of the last remaining stone top crawlers of the Noorderkempen, was saved from further decay a few years ago and beautifully and beautifully restored. When you visit the mill, you will hear the story of a fascinating piece of industrial heritage that became a monument. You climb the various attics with the miller and make a round on the belt. With sufficient wind you can hear the singing of the grain between the millstones and experience up close how the imposing blades of this wind giant cleave through the air.
