Plopsaqua De Panne is a water park in De Panne, Belgium. The water park is located on the same grounds as the amusement park Plopsaland De Panne and the Proximus Theater. Plopsaqua opened on March 22, 2015, and is fully themed in the style of Wickie the Viking. For the construction of the park, which started on October 1, 2013, Plopsa worked closely with the municipality of De Panne, which was looking for a new municipal swimming pool. It involves a total investment of 16 million euros. The municipality of De Panne will contribute 750,000 euros annually to the swimming pool. In return, residents of the municipality can enter at a reduced rate. The presence of a 25-meter pool also allows nearby schools to use the new swimming pool.
