Aeroplane Cemetery is a British military cemetery containing the graves of those who fell in the First World War, located in the Belgian city of Ypres. The cemetery is more than three kilometers northeast of the city center, along Zonnebeekseweg towards Zonnebeke, a few hundred meters past the French military cemetery of Saint-Charles de Potyze and in front of the hamlet of Verlorenhoek. It was designed by Reginald Blomfield and has a rectangular layout covering an area of 4,159 m². At the central rear stands the Cross of Sacrifice and on the east side the Stone of Remembrance. The cemetery is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
