Nature Education Center De Vroente

The Nature Education Center De Vroente has a dual function:
- On the one hand, it is a nature education center of the Flemish Government.
- On the other hand, it is a visitor center for the border park "De Zoom - Kalmthoutse heath"

In the visitor center, you can find various exhibitions that are freely accessible:
- Temporary interactive exhibition on a captivating nature topic
- Permanent interactive exhibition about the Kalmthoutse heath
- Monthly changing art exhibition

As a nature education center, it offers a wide range of educational packages, excursions, and activities for schools, families, and interested groups.
In the entire educational offering, "doing it yourself" and "discovering it yourself" are central.

Training and NME workers, nature guides, teachers, students, civil servants, local authorities, and citizens receive training and further education there.

The center is open:
- Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM
- Saturday, Sunday - public holidays from 2 PM to 5 PM
Group visits are also possible outside office hours, by appointment only.

The center is closed:
- Exceptionally closed on July 1, 2009
- From December 25 to January 1
