The Uylenbergher vineyard can be found on the Uilenberg in Sint-Pieters-Rode. For several years now, André has been bitten by the winemaking bug and is fully committed to producing this environmentally friendly quality product. All grape varieties, Sirius, Regent, and Johanniter (planted in 2008), are disease-resistant. After developing a small vineyard in the backyard, he started planting a larger vineyard on a nearby plot in 2004. The results speak for themselves as André's Regent 2007 (red wine with oak aging) was awarded the Controlled Designation of Origin, chosen as the best wine from Hageland in 2007. In addition to a vineyard, the Goemans family also has a large wood-fired oven that allows them to treat visitors to freshly baked bread and pizza. Discover a small piece of Italy in Hageland!
