The town hall of Mechelen is located on the east side of the Grote Markt in Mechelen and consists of three parts:
The palace was built in 1526 by Rombout II Keldermans to house the Great Council of Mechelen. However, the building was never completed, as a lack of funds prevented its completion beyond the ground floor. This building remained unfinished for almost 400 years.
