Avoid disturbances of shore zones and water plants. Outside the entry and exit points, there is a ban on disembarking.
» Side streams of the Dijle (including the Lane) are prohibited for departures.
» Maximum navigable width on this route is 1.65 m.
» Beware at the bridge of Rue de Rhode (Pecrot).
Around the pillars, branches can be an obstacle..
» Beware of (fallen) trees.
» If you are alone, a C1 license or higher or equivalent experience is recommended.
» Guidelines for group departures:
• max. 25 persons
• supervision required
• supervisors: VTS initiator canoe/kayak license or equivalent recommended
• participants: A license or higher recommended
• always stay in the group
» Only canoes, kayaks, rafts, and stand-up paddleboards are allowed.
» It is prohibited to navigate half an hour after sunset until sunrise. Take
into account the navigation time to the next exit point and leave the
water in good time.
