No. 16. Former tenant farm of - and located to the S.W. of the estate "De Lovie" (Proven, Canonstraat no. 10); according to cadastral data, the barn and the other farm buildings date from 1863 and 1880 respectively. Quite a striking eclectic architectural style cf. street facades, to be situated in the context of rural architecture that emerged in the 19th century on the initiative of J. Van Merris, owner of the mentioned estate and surrounding farmlands. Together with three other former tenant farms in similar construction style from the area (Proven, Canonstraat no. 6; Krombeke, Bankelindeweg no. 56) including a farm-inn type of tavern (Krombeekseweg no. 77), possibly at the suggestion of P. Croquison (Kortrijk) also the architect of the castle "De Lovie".
