Farmstead

Farm composed of a stable house extended with barn and detached outbuilding suitable around a grassy yard. In front of the house concrete well. Sandwiched between the Aarschot-Diest railway line built around 1865 and the Weegstraat, now interrupted by the railway line. The yard is bordered to the south by a row of trees. On the Ferraris map (hamlet Savel) buildings are visible, but probably not in exactly this place. The main volume appears on the primitive land register plan (1822) and on the Atlas of Local Roads (mid-19th century). Around 1865, the railway was built just north of the farm, interrupting the Weegstraat. In 1871 the outbuilding was registered.
