Probably the establishment of a farm in this location dates back to the end of the 12th century, when the church of Bellingen was donated with a priory to the abbey of Cantimpré.
After the abbey was dissolved at the end of the 18th century, its goods were sold publicly. The farm thus came into the hands of a castle lord from Halle around 1793.
It underwent quite a few renovations in the 19th century, during which materials from the demolished monastery were used.
This is the cart shed. Further past the bend in the road, you have a view of the residence, the stables, and the barns, grouped around a spacious courtyard.
The yard is not accessible to visitors.
