Town hall of Ronsele

Thanks café called "Old Town Hall". Formerly "raetshuys" or "schepenhuys", town hall and also inn. In 1553 mentioned as the inn "Den soeten Inval" and in 1655 as a "court estate with the house and barn, as well as several other places." The lower hall of the building, next to the banquet hall, served as the secretariat and meeting room of the municipal council (number 6). Rebuilt around 1890. Destroyed during World War I. Rebuilt afterwards. Currently a cemented facade of three bays and two building levels covered with a gable roof (tiles). Simple rectangular windows. Residential house with added outbuildings possibly with an older core. Attached on the left is a corner house of one building level with a beveled corner bay under a mansard roof with dormers. Cemented and painted facade with false joints.
