Description

Thans café zogenaamd "Oud Gemeentehuis". Voormalig "raetshuys" of "schepenhuys", gemeentehuis en ook herberg. In 1553 vermeld als wethuis en herberg "Den soeten Inval" en in 1655 als een "hofstede metten huys ende schuere, mitsgaeders noch meerdere plaetsen". De benedenzaal van het gebouw, naast de gelagzaal, deed dienst als secretarie en vergaderzaal van de gemeenteraad (nummer 6). Heropgebouwd circa 1890. Vernield tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog. Wederopgebouwd erna. Thans gecementeerde lijstgevel van drie traveeën en twee bouwlagen afgedekt met zadeldak (pannen). Eenvoudige rechthoekige vensters. woonhuis aangebouwde aanhorigheden met misschien oudere kern. Links aangebouwd hoekhuis van één bouwlaag met afgekante hoektravee onder mansardedak met dakkapellen. Gecementeerde en beschilderde gevel met schijnvoegen.
