Castle site known as "de Lanier" with castle, farm, gamekeeper's house, greenhouse, walled gardens on a domain with park layout within a rampart. From here various paths lead to the village, the canal, the Galgeveld, and the Leiedreef. The castle site is located at the boundary of two medieval lordships, namely the lordship of "Sint-Joris" to the north of the Zuidleie and the center around the church and the lordship of "Houtshe" or "Oudse", to the south of the Zuidleie. The castle domain is the old estate "van den Berghe" and the residence of the last lords of the village of Sint-Joris. Maria-Aaltersesteenweg number 34. Known as "Kasteel de Lanier" or "castle of Pottelsberghe" according to the current owners or "Waterland".
